Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Leh to Lamayuru (approximately 2 hours), where you'll explore the ancient Lamayuru monastery. Embark on a leisurely walk towards Prinkiti La (3732m), taking in the breathtaking views along the way. Traverse through the stunning Shila Gorge before reaching Wanla Village, your destination for the day.

Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the picturesque road towards Hinju Village, making for a relatively easy day.

On a challenging journey as we ascend to the majestic Konske La (4948m). The descent is characterized by steep trails over loose moraine, followed by multiple river crossings before arriving at the quaint village of Sumda Chenmo, where yak herders construct their summer huts.

Our journey begins with a river crossing before we traverse the trail to Sumdo Chimmu Village. Descending to the valley floor, we navigate multiple river crossings before tackling a short yet steep ascent over an intermediary ridge (4430m) to reach the base of Dung Dung La Pass (4400m). The descent from the pass is a gentle, extended one, leading us to a charming meadow campsite at Larnak after just over an hour.

We begin with a long but relatively gentle ascent towards the top of the Dhundhun Chan La Pass (4400m). The trail winds past many yak herder’s and nomad’s camps before gradually crossing a series of scree slopes to the top. The route then follows the contours along a high ridge before making a long and gradual descent towards Chilling Village. Chilling village provides much of the copper work entering the Leh market. The main village is up a ridge above the campsite and is well worth the visit.
