This premier Apricot Blossom Tour 2026 begins with your arrival in the high-altitude capital of Leh, where you will spend the first day resting at an elevation of 3,500m to ensure your body acclimates to the thin mountain air. On the second day of this Ladakh spring tour, you will embark on a 165km scenic drive westward into the Sham Valley to witness the stunning Aryan Valley blossoms, visiting historical landmarks like the Hall of Fame and Magnetic Hill before entering the lower-altitude Aryan Valley to experience the first pink and white blooms of the season.

The third day of your Apricot Blossom Festival itinerary is dedicated to immersing yourself in the unique Drokpa culture of the Aryan Valley, where you will meet the indigenous people of Dha and Beema villages before returning to Leh via the ancient Alchi Monastery. On the fourth day, your journey takes a dramatic turn as you traverse the legendary Khardung La pass to begin your Turtuk travel package experience, arriving at a remote Balti village nestled on the Indo-Pak border that transforms into a floral paradise during the spring thaw.

Your fifth day in Turtuk involves exploring the stone-carved streets and the Yabgo Royal House in the morning, followed by a short drive to the silver sand dunes of Hunder for an iconic sunset ride on double-humped Bactrian camels. On the sixth day, you will visit the towering 32m Maitreya Buddha at Diskit Monastery before crossing back over the mountains to reach Leh for a final evening of souvenir shopping. Finally, on the seventh day of your Apricot Blossom Tour 2026, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home, carrying memories of the rare and fleeting Himalayan spring.

Trip Itinerary

  • Distance: 5km (Airport to Hotel)
  • Upon your arrival at Leh airport, you will be transferred to your hotel. The most important activity today is complete rest for acclimatization to the high altitude 3,500m. In the late afternoon, you can take a gentle walk to the Leh Main Market or visit Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument built by Japanese Buddhists to promote world peace, offering a panoramic view of the Leh valley.
  • Distance: 165km (5 to 6 hours)
  • Today’s drive takes you west along the Indus River. You will visit the Hall of Fame war museum and the Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, a site steeped in 16th-century Sikh history. Witness the optical illusion at Magnetic Hill and the breathtaking Sangam, where the Zanskar and Indus rivers meet. As you enter the Aryan Valley, you will see the first signs of spring with apricot trees in full bloom against the rugged mountains.
  • Distance: 160km (5 hours)
  • Spend your morning in the villages of Dha or Beema, meeting the Drokpa people. Known as the "Pure Aryans," they have a distinct culture, language, and traditional attire adorned with vibrant flowers. After exploring their stone-walled orchards, drive back to Leh. En route, visit the 11th-century Alchi Monastery, a historical treasure house of Indo-Tibetan art and murals that are unique to this region.
  • Distance: 205km (6-7 hours)
  • You will cross Khardung La, historically a vital part of the Silk Route connecting India to Central Asia. The road descends into the Shyok Valley to reach Turtuk, a village captured from Pakistan in the 1971 war. The village is the largest producer of apricots in Ladakh and becomes a pink paradise in April.
