Trip Itinerary

After an early breakfast, you'll leave for Nimoo to see the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers, which is known as Sangam. This is a stunning natural sight that's definitely worth a visit. On the way back, you'll stop at Magnetic Hill, where you can experience an optical illusion that makes it seem like your car is rolling uphill. You'll also visit Gurduwara Pathar Saheb, a Sikh temple that's dedicated to Guru Nanak Dev. In the evening, you'll visit Shanti Stupa, a Buddhist white-domed stupa that's located on a hilltop and offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. Dinner will be served at your hotel. sounds like you'll be able to enjoy both natural and cultural sights during your first two days in Leh. Don't forget to stay hydrated and take it easy while you're adjusting to the altitude! In the evening, you will visit the Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Shanti Stupa is a white-domed Buddhist stupa located on a hilltop in Changspa and offers panoramic views of Leh town. Leh Palace, on the other hand, is a former royal palace that was built in the 17th century.

Begin your day early with a drive to Nubra valley, passing through Khardungla, the motorable pass in the world at an altitude of 18,380 ft. Reach Nubra Valley by afternoon and enjoy the stunning view of Shayok valley. Take a Desert Safari ride on the famous Himalayan Doubled-hump Camel in Hunder. Overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Drive from Nubra Valley to Turtuk is a long one, covering a distance of approximately 140km, and taking around 7-8 hours. The terrain is advanced level, as most of the route will involve off-roading and water crossings. Turtuk is situated at an altitude of 3,001m and is known for its stunning natural beauty and unique cultural heritage. It is the northernmost village in India and is located very close to the border with Pakistan. The village is known for its apricot orchards, beautiful landscapes, and friendly locals. After exploring Turtuk and soaking in its charm, you will drive back to Hunder Village in Nubra Valley. By evening, you will reach Hunder Village, where you will spend the night. The drive back to Hunder Village at Nubra Valley  will take approximately the same amount of time as the drive to Turtuk.

After an early breakfast, visit the monastery in Diskit and see the giant statue of future Buddha also known as Gyalwan Chamba. Enjoy the exquisite view of the entire Shayok valley of Nubra from the spot. Drive towards the eastern border of Ladakh crossing the Shayok Valley and reach Pangong by afternoon. Enjoy the spectacular view of the lake, which is around 4-5 kms wide and over 135 kms long, with about two-thirds of the lake lying on the other side of the Indo-China Border. Spend the night at a campsite with a breathtaking view of the lake.

Pangong Lake back to Leh via Changla Pass. You will cover a distance of 150km and it will take you around 6-7 hours to complete the journey. The terrain type is advanced, so be prepared for some challenging roads. Start early in the morning to capture a beautiful sunrise time-lapse at the Pangong Lake. The lake is known for its stunning beauty and clear blue waters and it is a popular spot for photography. On your way back to Leh, you will cross Chang La, which is one of the highest motorable passes in the world at an elevation of 5360m. The pass offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.  Also visit the Thiksey Monastery, which was built in 1430 AD and is known for its stunning architecture and intricate carvings. You will also visit Rancho's school, which was made famous by the Bollywood movie '3 Idiots'.  You will spend the night in Leh, and the maximum altitude you will reach on this day is 5340m. The drive from Pangong to Leh via Changla Pass is a memorable journey that offers breathtaking views of the Ladakh landscape.

Early this morning, we will depart from Leh to Manali. It's a long journey, so we need to start early. We'll be traveling the same route we took on Day 2 and Day 3, as mentioned in the itinerary. We will reach Manali in the late evening and stay overnight.

At the end of your trip, you will have an entire day to explore Manali City if you travel by Volvo bus. However, if you book a private car you can leave in the morning. We hope you enjoyed your journey with us and we look forward to seeing you again in Ladakh.
