Trip Itinerary

Upon arrival at Leh airport, our team will greet you and transfer you to your hotel. This first day is very important for your health, so you must take complete rest to help your body adjust to the high altitude. Avoid any physical exertion and drink plenty of water throughout the day. If you feel energetic in the late evening, you can take a very slow walk to the nearby Leh Market to see the local life. Overnight stay at the hotel in Leh.

After a healthy breakfast, we begin our cultural exploration at the Hall of Fame museum to learn about the history and heroes of the region. We then drive up to the Shanti Stupa, a white-domed Buddhist monument that offers a breathtaking 360-degree view of Leh town and the surrounding mountains. We also visit the historic 17th-century Leh Palace, which stands tall over the city. The evening is yours to explore the colorful local markets for traditional handicrafts. Overnight in Leh.

Today we drive along the Indus River towards the Sham Valley. You will experience the famous Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to defy gravity by rolling uphill. We visit the holy Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and witness the spectacular Sangam, the confluence where the blue Zanskar River meets the green Indus River. Our journey continues to the ancient Alchi Monastery, renowned for its unique Indo-Tibetan architecture and 11th-century wall paintings. We return to Leh by evening. Overnight in Leh.

Get ready for an adventure as we drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. From the summit, you can see the Karakoram range in all its glory. After descending into the valley, we visit the Diskit Monastery and its giant Maitreya Buddha statue. In the evening, we reach the white sand dunes of Hunder for a unique safari on double-humped Bactrian camels. Overnight stay in a deluxe camp in Nubra.

After breakfast, we drive further north to the beautiful village of Turtuk. This village was under Pakistani control until 1971 and offers a very different Balti culture compared to the rest of Ladakh. You can walk through lush apricot orchards, see the traditional stone houses, and view the border mountains. It is a peaceful place with very friendly locals. After exploring the history of this "last village," we drive back to Hunder for the night. Overnight in Nubra.

We take the direct and scenic route along the Shyok River to reach the world-famous Pangong Tso. This high-altitude lake is 134 km long and is famous for its crystal-clear water that changes from light blue to deep purple during the day. The drive offers dramatic views of rugged cliffs and wide riverbeds. We arrive at the lakeshore by late afternoon, giving you plenty of time to enjoy the sunset and the incredible silence of nature. Overnight in a lakeside camp.

Wake up early to witness a magical sunrise over the blue waters of Pangong. After a warm breakfast, we begin our return journey to Leh. We cross the mighty Chang La pass, which is the third highest motorable road in the world. On our way down, we stop at the majestic Thiksey Monastery, which resembles the Potala Palace of Tibet. We also visit Shey Palace, the former summer capital of the Ladakhi kings. We reach Leh by evening. Overnight in Leh.

On our final sightseeing day, we visit the Hemis Monastery, the largest and richest monastic institution in Ladakh. Hidden in a side valley, it contains a wonderful museum of Buddhist artifacts. On our way back, we visit the Druk Padma Karpo School (famously known as Rancho’s School from the movie '3 Idiots'). The rest of the afternoon is free for you to buy souvenirs like Pashmina shawls or apricots in the Leh market. Overnight in Leh.

After breakfast, we will provide a smooth transfer to the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport. As you fly out over the Himalayan peaks, you will carry home the memories of the "Roof of the World" and the warm hospitality of the Ladakhi people. Our services end here.
