Trip Itinerary

Welcome to Guwahati, the biggest city in Assam! When you arrive, our team will greet you. Your first stop is the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most famous temples in India. It is dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya and is a special place for many people. After that, take a walk along the Brahmaputra River and enjoy the fresh air. In the evening, you can take an optional sunset cruise on the river, where you’ll see the water glow in the evening light. After a fun day, head back to your hotel for a good night’s sleep.

After breakfast, take a scenic drive to Kaziranga National Park, a world-famous park that is home to the one-horned rhinoceros. On the way, you will pass tea gardens and small villages, where you can see people going about their daily lives. Once you arrive, check into your lodge and relax. In the evening, enjoy a traditional Assamese dance performance, where you will see dancers in colorful clothes moving to traditional music. After dinner, get some rest before your big adventure the next day.

Wake up early for an exciting Jeep Safari or Elephant Safari in Kaziranga National Park. Keep your eyes open for rhinos, elephants, deer, and maybe even a tiger! If you love birds, you’ll also see many different species flying around. After breakfast, visit a tea plantation, where you’ll learn how Assam tea is grown and made. Walk through the green fields, see how tea leaves are picked, and taste fresh tea. Spend the rest of the day relaxing before another overnight stay in Kaziranga.

Say goodbye to Kaziranga and head towards Arunachal Pradesh. Along the way, stop at Bomdila, a small town with amazing mountain views. Continue to Dirang Valley, where you’ll see beautiful fields, old monasteries, and small tribal villages. Once you arrive, visit Dirang Dzong, an ancient fort with a lot of history. Later, take a dip in the Hot Water Springs, which are believed to be good for your health. Meet the local Monpa tribe, who are very friendly and will tell you about their way of life. After an exciting day, stay overnight in Dirang.

Start the day with a drive through the famous Sela Pass (13,700 ft), one of the highest mountain passes in India. Enjoy the view of snow-capped mountains and stop at Sela Lake, which looks like a magical frozen wonderland in winter. On the way to Tawang, visit Jaswant Garh War Memorial, built in honor of an Indian soldier who bravely fought during the 1962 war. Once you reach Tawang, check into your hotel and visit the Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India. Walk around, listen to the monks chanting, and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before heading back to your hotel for the night.

Today, go on an exciting trip to Bum La Pass, which is near the border of India and China. This area has played an important role in history and has stunning mountain views. After that, visit Sangestar Tso Lake (Madhuri Lake), a breathtaking high-altitude lake surrounded by snowy peaks. The lake is peaceful and great for taking pictures. On your way back to Tawang, stop at Urgelling Monastery, the birthplace of the 6th Dalai Lama. Learn about the monastery’s history before returning to your hotel for the night.

It’s time to start your journey back. Drive through Dirang Valley again and enjoy the beautiful scenery. Once you reach Bomdila, visit the Bomdila Monastery, a peaceful Buddhist monastery with great views of the valley. Then, spend some time at the local market, where you can buy traditional clothes, handmade crafts, and souvenirs to take home. In the evening, enjoy a delicious Arunachali meal before resting for the night.

After breakfast, begin your journey back to Guwahati. Watch as the mountains disappear and the plains of Assam welcome you back. Once you arrive in Guwahati, we will drop you off at the airport or railway station for your journey home. Say goodbye to Northeast India, taking with you unforgettable memories of mountains, monasteries, wildlife, and warm-hearted people!
