Trip Itinerary
Upon arrival at the Leh Airport, our driver will guide you to your Hotel . O/n in the Leh City. Today. you can completely rest in a Leh . Overnight stay in leh city.
You need to Rest and acclimation in Hotel, Later on our Group Leader or Professional Mountain Guide who assist you in the expedition will give you a briefing regarding the expedition and itinerary plan. By afternoon we will go to hike towards Shanti Stupa and Leh Palace. Later on you’ll visit to Market and Buy some Requirement which need during expedition. Back to the Hotel. Overnight in Leh.
In the early morning, We will set out on a drive to Rumtse Phu. We will be driving along the Leh-Manali highway towards the Tanglang La. It’s a beautiful drive passing through small Ladakhi villages and you’ll have an opportunity to experience everyday life in Ladakh outside the main part of Leh. Rumtse Phu is the last road head before the valley leading to the summit of Mt. UT Kangri. Our first camp will be near to the road head. So far, we have already gained a 1,000 m altitude from Leh so it’s better to camp near the road head and let the body acclimatize itself.
You will start your trek to Base Camp which is at al altitude of 5,250 m. This will be the summit camp for the UT Kangri Summit.
This is the day we have been waiting for. The summit day! You will be trek-king to the summit of Mt. UT Kangri. Some sections of the climb may need us to rope up and climb. We will be trekking in deep snow so we will need to be patient amidst the raging winds and biting cold. Mt. UT Kangri is at an altitude of 6,056 m and the views are surreal with amazing views of Mt. Kang Yatse and other prominent peaks of Ladakh.
You will descending down to the road head camp at Rumtse Phu. After the descend, you will start your journey back to Leh by road. After reaching Leh, you can take good rest in the cozy hotel room.
After breakfast, 230kms drive to Kargil, Lunch Enroute. Upon ariivel check in the hotel for overnight stay. This will be our last hotel stay before the expedition where you can get wifi and Internet.
Morning after breakfast liaison officer along with Chow Expeditions representative will complete remaining paperwork and formalities in the local administration offices. Later in the day, checkout from hotel and drive to Tangol village approximately 04 hrs drive, enroute you will see the first view of Mount Nun 7135, Mount Kun 7077 M, and Stop from taking picture and enjoy local masala tea. Afternoon reach at Tangol village, overnight stay in the tents, evening you can walk around the local village.
Morning after breakfast handover your bags to the Porters, today we climb to moraine and continue to base camp. This involves 5-7 hrs trek. Upon ar-rival establish your base camp and overnight stay in tent.
Next 12 days are for attempt to submit Mt. Nun (7135 M) and back to Base Camp. See the below tentative program after the base camp to summit, it will be change according the weather condition. The Expedition Leader and our Sherpa will try to ensure that the trip runs according to plan
Morning after breakfast handover your bags to the porters and trek down to Tangol village. Letter board in the vehicle and drive back to Kargil. Over-night stay in hotel.
Today we will drive back from Tangol to Leh approv 8 Hrs drive. Upon arrivel check in the hotel for overnight stay.
After the breakfast we will excursion towards the Leh Airport , So its time to departure. Trip Include
- Booking of Mt. Nun with Indian Mountaineering Foundation and the booking fee.
- Accommodation on twin/double room (sharing) in hotels at Leh and Kargil as per program.
- Services of mountain guide and high altitude Sherpas for route opening, rope fixing and establish ing high camps during Mt. Nun expedition.
- Liaison officer fees, accommodation, meals and transportation (Only applied for Foreign Clients.)
- Services of Chow Expeditions (base camp Manger), Cook and Kitchen helper till and at base camp
- All meals as per above-mentioned program including high altitude food (after Base Camp).
- Complete kitchen and camp equipment’s till base camp.
- First aid kit with Oxygen cylinder.
- Accommodation in tents during approach March and at Base Camp i.e. one tent for 2 person.
- We will provide all meals to guests, all staff and Liaison officer during the expedition.
- Transportation of members luggage maximum 40 Kgs per person road heads to Base Camp and Base Camp to road head by mules.
- Climbing equipment i.e, Fix rope, Climbing rope, High altitude tent, Carabiner, Snow bar, Ice piton, High altitude Gas Cartage etc.
- All current taxes including Govt. service tax of 5%

- Personal clothing and gears required for climbing (Personal Climbing equipment)
- Any kind of insurance.
- Personal expenses such as table drinks, rooms services items, laundry, telephone calls at ho-tels or tips etc.
- For International Climber $700 IMF Permit Doesn't Include
- Personal high altitude porter
- Any additional expenses caused by or liability for a disturbance in the trip program due to our circumstances, weather conditions, sickness, natural disasters, riots etc.
- Any other service or item which is not mentioned as “Price Includes”.
