Important Notice for Adventurers:

High-altitude mountaineering and trekking in the Ladakh region involve extreme environments, high elevations, and unpredictable mountain conditions. To ensure safety, operational transparency, and regulatory compliance with the Ladakh Mountain Guide Association (LMGA), all participants are required to thoroughly read, understand, and digitally sign this Indemnity Bond before commencing any expedition.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF INHERENT RISKS

 

I hereby declare that I am voluntarily participating in the mountaineering expedition / trekking program organised by Mountain Intelligence Treks LLP in the Ladakh region.

I fully understand and acknowledge that high-altitude mountaineering, trekking, and adventure sports involve severe inherent risks including but not limited to:

  • High Altitude Health Hazards: Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS), High Altitude Pulmonary Edema (HAPE), High Altitude Cerebral Edema (HACE), frostbite, hypothermia, and extreme dehydration.
  • Environmental & Terrain Hazards: Avalanches, rockfalls, crevasses, unpredictable and severe weather changes, landslides, flash floods, and treacherous mountain trails.
  • Logistical Limitations: Remote locations with limited or delayed access to medical facilities, communication networks, and professional rescue services. Helicopter evacuation is subject to military clearances, weather conditions, and availability.

 

MEDICAL FITNESS DECLARATION

 

  • I certify that I am physically fit, mentally sound, and adequately trained to undertake this high-altitude expedition.
  • I declare that I do not suffer from any prior medical conditions (such as severe respiratory issues, cardiac ailments, or unmanaged hypertension) that could jeopardize my safety or the safety of the team.
  • I agree to strictly adhere to the safety protocols, acclimatization schedules, and instructions laid down by the Expedition Leader and guides certified in Ladakh.

 

INDEMNITY AND LIABILITY WAIVER

 

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the activities organized by Mountain Intelligence Treks LLP, I hereby agree to the following:

  1. Release of Liability: I release, waive, and forever discharge Mountain Intelligence Treks LLP, its founding partners, employees, guides, porters, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of any loss, damage, personal injury, or death that may be sustained by me during the transit, trek, or expedition.
  2. Assumption of Financial Responsibility for Rescue: In the event of an emergency requiring medical evacuation, hospitalization, or a helicopter rescue operation, I agree that all financial costs incurred will be borne entirely by me or my personal travel/insurance provider. Mountain Intelligence Treks LLP will facilitate logistics but is not financially liable for rescue operations.
  3. Environmental Stewardship: I agree to adhere to Leave No Trace (LNT) principles and local environmental regulations to protect the fragile ecosystem of Ladakh.
